The lower price range is not peripheral
Works below €5,000 form a real part of the market, particularly for emerging and mid-career artists, works on paper, photography, editions and smaller paintings.
Price accessibility can widen participation, but it does not remove the need for research.

Many languages, not one aesthetic
Affordable art is a price range, not a style. It may include painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, digital work and editions with very different production and conservation needs.

Accessible does not mean minor
Price and cultural quality do not coincide. Size, medium, edition, career stage, representation and production costs all influence price without deciding artistic significance.

Real does not mean guaranteed
A functioning market is not a promise of return. Buy with documentation, transparent total costs and a willingness to live with the work independently of future price.
