Born in Chengdu in 1983 and based in Beijing, Hao Liang renews ink painting through art history, literature and cinema. His works on silk move between the intimacy of a page and the scale of a landscape.

Look at time before subject: washes, pauses and minute shifts of tone guide the eye. Historical references are never quotation alone; they become a way to question how an image survives.
