Pago Sì · The place
Terme di Caracalla
A place to understand not as a backdrop, but as part of the experience of art.

Profile
Built between 212 and 216 CE, the Baths of Caracalla are among the largest and best-preserved imperial bath complexes. Contemporary projects placed here must negotiate with a scale, material presence and historical depth that cannot become a neutral backdrop.
How to look
Look at the exhibition and the ruins in both directions. Ask what the contemporary work changes in the ancient space—and what the architecture makes newly visible in the work.
